M1983-141 Amendment 2
Page 4 of 4
waste rock pile. Protection of storm water from contact with waste rock is accomplished
using berms, diversions and other means, as specified in the Best Management Practices
in the Storm Water Management Plan for the site (Draft previously supplied to the
Division).
Slope dimensions depend entirely on the value of the vein and it's geometry.
Some further descriptions:
"In resuing, backs are taken down above the drift, slope timber put in place and a narrow
breast (or row of upper holes) is blasted in the waste hanging-wall rock for the complete
length of the slope. After this has been blasted, a floor is laid, and holes that have already
been drilled below the vein on the footwall are then blasted. This breaks the vein and the
ore is mucked out to chutes on 50 foot intervals. As much sorting is done underground to
extract the waste from the ore before lifting and handling it on the surface".
- Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Permit #M-1983-141, Exhibit B, July 1983
"This method of mining has been employed successfully in mines at the Little Long Lac
area in Ontario, Canada; Atolia, California, and Nagyag, Romania."
- "Preliminazy Report on the Cash Mine Project", R. T. Heazd, P.Eng., August, 1982
(See Attached)
- "The Resuing Method of Mining at Leitch Gold Mines", G.A. McKay, Date unknown
Mount Royale Ventures, LLC also requests that any correspondence between the
Division, Mark Steen and any representative of Mount Royale Ventures, LLC be sent (in
copy, minimum) to MRV at the permit contact address that the Division has on file, in
addition to any other location that may be requested by the aforementioned parties.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We certainly appreciate the assistance you
aze giving us. Please do not hesitate to contact us at (720) 565-3448 for any further
concerns the Division may have.
Sincerely,
MOUNT ROYALS VENTURES, LLC
~~~~
By: Matt Collins
Mine Manager
cc: M.A. Steen
