This would suggest that a total of 65,340 cy of material is required for the existing operation (54 acres). <br />The operator will need to demonstrate that this volume of material exists on site to be used for <br />reclamation. In addition, the operator will need to estimate the amount of topsoil required for the ]5-20 <br />acre amendment area. <br />The operator depicts a 3h:ly sediment cap rock for final reclamation. Please describe the nature of this <br />material, the volume of material required for this cap, and where the material will be stockpiled on site <br />(need to locate the location of the stockpiled material on a map). In addition, please further describe the <br />connection of the 3h:ly slope and the ~/zh:ly slope in terms of stability and overall safety in regard to the <br />postmining land use. <br />6. A portion of the mine area (Area 5) intersects a drainage channel. Please explain if this channel will be <br />affected by the mining and reclamation operations. If so, please explain and describe the designs of the <br />reclaimed channel. <br />Rule 6.4.3(a) requires the applicant to show all adjoining surface owners of record on map. Please <br />submit a map depicting the adjoining surface owners. <br />8. Please confirm to the Division that the haul road leading to Area 6 is included in the total permit area of <br />69 acres. <br />9. Please locate all mining related facilities on a map (i.e. buildings, roads, sediment ponds, stockpiles, <br />etc...) in relation to the mining operation. <br />10. Please explain in further detail the water rights associated with this operation. Exhibit E of the <br />application (MLRB Findings of Fact 1984) Andesite indicates the water rights and sources of water [o <br />supply project requirements, but it is uncertain whether those rights will be available to Andesite. <br />Please be advised that the Lyons Quarry 112 Permit Amendment Application may be deemed inadequate, <br />and the application may be denied on September 10, 2002 unless the above mentioned adequacy review <br />items are addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. If you feel more time is needed to complete your <br />reply, the Division can grant an extension to the decision date. This will be done upon receipt of a written <br />waiver of your right to a decision by September 10, 2002 and request for additional time.
