Date (if nod a st p):_ 03
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Ingleside Quarry -Adequacy Comments
Pernut # M-1980-037
Dear Mr. Schreiner:
The following is in response to your letter dated July 29, 2003. Each pazagraph number
is a reply to the corresponding paragraph of your letter. The majority of this reply is
based on Ron Turner's (K-S & Company, Inc.) fax dated August 5, 2003 (Attached).
#1 There seems to be different schools of thought regarding fertilizer. Please refer to
Turner's reply.
#2, #3, #5, & #7 Refer to Turner's fax.
#4 The $1.35/cubic yard blasting cost does include drilling. We have used Yenter
Blasting for several years. The cost has remained the same.
#6 We agree with Terracon's recommendations and will commit to the necessary
measures to achieve such.
The pit floors, stockpile and processing azeas shall remain generally flat, but with
enough slop, to the south and east to prevent ponding. Erosion control measures
such as diversion ditches, hay bales and rip rap check spots will be used in
problem areas.
#8 Terracon's recommendations seem to concur with the blasting contractors we
have contacted for blasting estimates.
P.O.
