PQND is -P-
The following criteria were used in the design of the pond.
The pond wills
~_
1. provide storage for the maximum anticipated inflow
~. from a 10 year 24-hour precipitation event plus the
maximum 3 year sediment volume,
2. nse a trapesoidal spillway which is designed to
discharge the runoff from the 25 year 24-hour
storm.
• 3. provide for the elevation of the crest of the dam
to be at least 1.5 feet above the maximum water
elevation with the spillway flowing at design
depth.
4. nse a S ~ inch diameter dewatering pipe at the
downstream outlet. The pipe will permit 24-hour
detention time for the 10-year 24-hour storm
volume. and at the same time provide dewatering of
~ the pond to the sediment storage level is less than
72 hours.
5. >liaimise the amount of disturbed surface area.
6. be cleaned when the sediment volume reaches 60~ of
capacity. Cleanout will be provided by a piece of
` construction equipment operating inside the pond at
an as ea of stable, shallow slope.
7, be excavated in a manner that allows all topsoil to
be removed, stockpiled and re-used in reclamation.
B. be inspected during construction by a registered
professional engineer.
9. the discharge from the pond will meet the
requirements as set forth is the HPDES permit.
10. be removed during reclamation.
CTt+~s P~~ FR.~N~, P©Nd ~ Rc ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
5u4M. ~ ~ ~~ 4Y ~ ~,.Ew~uc~ o~
r t, do-r©a~. ag ~ { ~ 8 `~ ~ T~ L S uJFkS
~PP2ov~ Qy ~,,,ep,
z
