The area of exclusion mentioned in our odginal release request of 3
Dec~nber 2001, includes the trench and wells and related fadlifles estimated a[ 1.43 aces by C.G.R.S. A
buffer of 50 feet to identify the features was an additional measure to identify and separate the location from
the active mirring operations of the DMG permit.
While we remain uncertain as to how the request became the 'approximate 10 acres' referenced in your
correspondence of 28 January, someone within the Division may have inadvertently measured the blown up
area and attributed it to the released area. tt was rtot based upon our measurements or intent.
In the map seated by C.G.R.S. showing these locations, ablow-up of the area where the features lie within the
permit area was shown. The boundary indicated was an obvious graphical reference to better illustrate
features that do not dearly display at a small scale. The boundary did not represent the intended area of
release, as tt deady_would depart from the release request text and the need to mark features shown wtth
markers to reflect the 50 foot buffer.
tt appears to be an administrative error and an administrative remedy should be more than adequate to correct
the matter. If tt would please the Division, I will plat the actual area based upon and include the 50 foot
buffered distances from the fly ash disposal area features on CAD, re-m~sure digitally, and submit this as the
definitive acreage of the released area should R differ from the 1.43 aces indicated in the original request.
Regardless, please let me know if this will be an acceptable certedion. Thank-you for your understanding and
cooperation.
Sincerely,
V~arra Com pies,, In~/c.~
-B'~df , nes ` "
Prof 'pal Forester
Attac ments:
1.
