Long
Division Dneuor
Energy Fuels Mining Company (EFMC) has submitted a written request to extend the abatement
deadline for NOV CV-99-014 beyond 90 days from the issuance date to Mazch 15, 2000. Based
on DMG discussions with George Patterson of EFMC, they need the additional time to discuss
available options internally and with an outside consultant in order to address remaining
concerns in minor revision no. 17 (MR-17). Resolution of MR-l7 is the required abatement for
the NOV.
As a result of EFMC's discussions with David Berry, the staff believes the extension is
warranted as allowed by C.R.S. 34-33-123(3). If you are so inclined, please sign the attached
form extending the abatement time beyond 90 days. If you have any questions, please let me
know.

~y 1~ I~ ~ ~
2.~1$-/Oo
