6. Demolition and disposal of the offices will be included in the reclamation cost
estimate.
The offices at the site are modular units. There are five modules that connected to
create the office building, two double wide trailers and one single wide trailer. All five
modules are equipped with wheels. All modular units can be moved from the site
fairly easily with a minimum if work.
As stated in the response to the Preliminary Adequacy Review, United Companies
expects to sell or dispose of this building in the future. The building may be offered to
other companies in Oldcastle for sale or trade. The building may be sold locally. At
this time the building retains economic value but plans are uncertain concerning how
United will dispose of it.
Demolition and disposal of the entire office building is not required. The modules can
be quickly and easily moved from the site. The modulaz units are now joined with
areas of regular wood frame construction. These wood framed areas will probably
require demolition and disposal. The floor area for the wood framed parts of the
building is approximately 700 square feet of the building's total azea of 4,800 square
feet. The wood framed parts of the building are 15% of the building's total azea.
Please contact me with any comments or questions.
Sincerely,
~c~C~ela.- z..`_
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
2
