This permit amendment is being proposed for the following activities at the subject site: <br />• Diversion of Bear Creek <br />Bear Creek will be diverted to the southwest across previously mined portions of the permit <br />area in order to enable the mining of the remaining permitted quarry area. <br />• Revisions to the permit boundary <br />The plant area, which consists of approximately 69 acres, will be added to the existing permit <br />area. <br />• Construction of a new kiln <br />The new state of the art kiln, located in the proposed additional permit area, will increase <br />production while lowering air emissions. <br />• Construction of a new crusher, blending house, and conveyor system <br />The location of these new facilities is in the quart' area within the existing permit boundary. <br />The attached exhibits and information have been prepared in accordance with the Construction <br />Material Rules and Regulations (amended August 2001) of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board. <br />If you have any questions concerning this application, or need additional information or clarification, <br />pleas call us at (719) 784-6325 ext. 1211. <br />R~e~s~p~~ec~~tfully su~b~mi~tted, <br />Hol" " ~~~'..V <br />~~ <br />Wendi Abbott <br />Quarry Manager <br />
