Following are WFC's responses. 1. At this time WFC has not decided where the water treatment plant will be located. After removal we will utilize an existing leach field. This leach field will handle the • present domestic waste load at the New Elk Mine. We will notify you when and if we decide to put in another plant. 2. The preliminary drawing (grading plan) for the minor revision has been finalized and is attached. In order for WFC to make room for the plant facilities it was necessary to shorten pond 006 to the east. Shortening the pond length will require the pond to be deepened by four feet. The original pond capacity was 7.51 acre feet, the new volume will be 7.55 acre feet. The inlet point will still be on the southwest corner of the pond and rip-rapped. Your remaining questions regarding drainage to pond 006 are self-explanatory on the attached drawing. 3. Following are the bond calculations for foundations under this minor revision. Bonding Calculation for Concrete 1. Plant Footings 5760 sq.ft. x $4.38/sq.ft = $ 25, 228.80 2. Thickener 7850 sq.ft. x $4.38/sq.ft = 34,383.00 3. Raw Coal Reclaim Tunnel 3840 sq.ft. x $4.38/sq.ft = 8, 409.60 4. Clean Coal Reclaim Tunnel 1,920 sq.ft. x $438/sq.ft = 8,409.60 5. Conveyors . 600 sq.ft. x $438/sq.ft = 2,6.18.00 TOTAL $ 79, 059.00
