RECLAMATION PLAN
1. Lake Area Reclamation
EXHIBIT E
The reclamation of the lake is relatively simple since the mining itself is excavating the lake to its final
grade of 3H:1.OV. The armoring & revegetation of the bank and the construction of the jetty will have
been completed prior to lake excavation, therefore these items are not part of the reclamation plan.
It is planned that the small portion of land between the southwest permit boundary and the west edge of
the lake will be restored to irrigation use. This area is approximately 0.80 acres. Prior to replacing top-
soil for this area, regrading for irrigation will take place and the area will be deep-ripped to at least 24
inches to relieve any compaction in the subsoil. The inside part of the lake itself will be retopsoiled
above the expected waterline of 6656' elevation. Topsoil for both of these areas will be obtained from
the stockpile located immediately east of the lake. The lake will be seeded along the inside 3H:1V
slopes and the top of dam. Wetland plants will also be seeded along the expected waterline. The lake
and upper slopes above the waterline will be used for wildlife habitat.
Once the irrigation area has been returned to its intended use, the sediment sump and outlet ditch at the
south end of the property will be reclaimed. Material to backfill this area will also come from the adja-
cent topsoil stockpile.
