This was
mainly due to encountering a hard layer before the target depth could be reached. The
"as 1>ui]Y' cortainment features and drainage patterns are shown on the enclosed map.
The combined capacity of the basins is adequate to contain ±he runoff of a 10 yr-24 hr
event, as calculated in Appendix B of the permit amendment.
#12: a concrete slab was poured for a floor in the skid-mounted temporary wnrpressor
building. This pad is about 12 feet wide by 20 feet long and m;;stly less than 6 inches
thick (approximately 4.5 yds). The `9eft-over" of the eonerere truckload was plact.~d as a
pad outside the northwest end of the building (sppreximately 0.5 yd), malting the total
slab about 5 yds. This stab eves not included in the plan for the temporary buildings at
this site. It was, therefore, nut included by DMG in reclamation costs for bonding
purposes. Cotter Corporation's plan for reclamation of this slab is to treat it like the other
compacted surface material in the portal area. That is, it wil? be hrol:en into small enough
pieces to incorparatc it into the waste rock pile prior to final reclamation of Chat waste
pile.
If you have fiarther questions regarding these issues, please call Glen \Villiams, Manager,
or Dick t~llite at Cotter's Nucla office, 970-864-7347.
pest ally/~
Dr~ite, Project Geologist
Cotter Corporation
Cotter Corporation -West Slope Operations Telephone (970) 864-7347
P.O.
