This study
was performed in general accordance with our proposal number P2103061g dated May 12,
2003.
The results of our engineering study, including the boring location diagram, laboratory test
results, test boring records, and the geotechnical recommendations needed to aid in the design
and construction of foundations and other earth connected phases of this project are attached.
The subsurface soils at the site generally consisted of sand soils with varying amounts of clay,
silt, and gravel. Sandy lean clay was encountered at shallow depths in test boring B-2. The
results of our field exploration and testing indicate that the soils at the site have low to moderate
load bearing capability.
Based on the geotechnical engineering analyses, subsurface exploratidn and laboratory test
results, it is our opinion that the proposed drainage channel may be constructed at the site. It
should be noted that seepage analysis for the drainage channel was beyond the scope of
services for the project. Proposed box culverts may be supported by spread footing/pad
foundation systems.
We appreciate being of service to you in the geotechnical engineering phase of this project,
and are prepared to assist you during the construction phases as well.
