Geotechnical Engineering Report
• Eagleview Drainage Channel
Southwest of "F" Street and 35`h Avenue
Terracon Project No. 21035051 Terracon
• development of foundation and earthwork recommendations. All laboratory tests were performed in
~ general accordance with the applicable local or other accepted standards.
Selected soil samples were tested for the following engineering properties:
• Water Content
Dry Density
• Grain Size
Plasticity Index
SITE CONDITIONS
The site was located in a residential/agricultural area and was developed as an alfalfa field.
The site was vegetated with tall native weeds, grasses, alfalfa, and various deciduous trees on the
north portion of the site. A small irrigation ditch was observed along the south boundary of the site.
The ditch was dry at the time of our site visit. A detention pond was also observed south of the site
and was observed io contain water at the time. Surface drainage was observed to slope
approximately north. The site was bordered to the south and east by residential developments, to the
north by "F" Street, and to the west by agricultural land.
SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS
Soil Conditions
As presented on the Logs of Boring, subsurface soils at the site generally consisted of sand soils with
varying amounts of clay, silt, and gravel. Near surtace sandy lean clay was encountered in test boring
B-2.
Field and Laboratory Test Results
Field test results indicate that the clay soils are stiff in consistency. The sand soils vary from very
loose to dense in relative density. Laboratory test results indicate that fine to coarse sand subsoils are
present at the site.
Groundwater Conditions
Groundwater was encountered at approximate depths of 5'/z to 10 feet in test borings B-3 through B-6.
at the time of field exploration. When checked one day after the drilling, groundwater was measured
3
