Long <br />, Division Director <br />Re: NOV No. CV-2000-014, Bowie No. 2 Mine, Permit No. C-96-083 <br />Dear Mr. Bear: <br />The enclosed Notice of Violation is issued for failure to maintain the bond for [he above-referenced permit in <br />accordance with the applicable statutes and regulations. <br />On July 18, 2000, the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) sent a letter notifying Bowie <br />Resources Limited (BRL) that bond replacement must occur within thirty days. On August 9, 2000, BRL <br />requested an additional 45 days for bond replacement. On August 10, 2000, DMG extended the deadline to <br />October 20, 2000. On October 3, 2000, BRL requested an additional 30 day deadline extension. DMG <br />extended the deadline to November 29, 2000. On November 27, 2000, AEI Resources, (BBC's parent <br />compan}•) requested an additional 60 day extension. On November 28, 2000 DMG granted one last deadline <br />extension to December I5, 2000.
