INTERNATIONAL
URANIUM ~USA~
CORPORATION
~~
/~~
Independence Plaza, Suite 950 • 1050 Seventeenth Street • Denver, CO 80265 • 303 628 7798
December 31, 2003
Bob Oswald
~ Environmental Protection Specialist
Division on Minerals & Geology
Department of Natural Resources
701 Camino de] Rio
Durango, CO 81301
! ~~ ~
Re: Topaz Mine, Permit M-1980-055 ?4R. ~"~ -O l
Final Reclamation Map .
Dear Mr. Oswald:
Re~~V~d
span o f` 9oc 8/d ~ c~
s~~
International Uranium (USA) Corporation (the "Operator") hereby submits to the Division of
Minerals and Geology (the "Division") two originals of the proposed Final Reclamation Map for
the Topaz Mine, Permit M-1980-055 (the "Permit"). One of the original maps has been
designated for retention in the Division's Durango Field Office records.
The proposed final Reclamation Map shows the areas that will be reclaimed and the approximate
final contours of reclaimed areas. The map can be compared to the existing Topaz Mine, Permit
M-1980-055, 1" = 100' site map, revised 7/29/03, to see which structures, facilities, roads, etc.
are to be removed during reclamation. If you prefer, we can put these features back on the
Reclamation Map and show them as faint shadow figures. Pre-Reclamation spot elevations are
shown on the Final Reclamation Map to show recontouring and grading work.
While all Reclaimed Areas will be revegetated, the paucity of existing and salvaged topsoil
limits that areal extent that will be covered with topsoil prior to reseeding. Therefore, no
distinction is shown on the Reclamation Map regarding where the limited quantities of topsoil
might be placed.
Please let me know if you have any questions on the proposed Final Reclamation Map. If this
map is suitable, it will serve as the model for Reclamation Map for the Operator's other Permits
in the area.
Sincerely, //GG~~
~v,
Terry V. Wetz
International Uranium (USA) Corporation
