Mr. Mills has asked me to communicate with you concerning some problems which he has experienced with respect to the above referenced Notice of Violation which has been issued against Trinidad Basin Mining. First of ail, for your information. Trinidad Basin Mining is an inactive, assetless corporation which has fallen victim to some of the recent problems in the coal industry. While Mr. Mills no longer has any affiliation with Trinidad Basin Mining, he has, in the past several months, expended his own money and time in an effort to comply with certain requests made by the Mine Land Reclamation Division concerning reclamation of the property. [t may be appropriate at this point to state that +1r. Mills feels the reclamation nn the property has been above and I~eyond the requirements of the regulations. He also feels that in the past he has been penalized for attempting to dress up and reclaim property which had not been disturbed by Trinidad, while he was in the process of reclaiming. Mr. Mills, on behalf of Trinidad, has spent time and effort in trying to leave the property in as good a condition as was possible.
