Sorenson <br />Environmental Protection Specialist , <br />Division of Minerals & Geologyv/ <br />1313 Sherman Stree_t,_Room_ 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 / <br />Re: Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Mine (Permit No. M-1977-342) <br />Deaz Mr. Sorenson: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated May 12, 2006 (received by our office on May 17) <br />concerning the project listed above and for the map ofthe current reclamation permit amendment <br />azea. <br />A seazch of.the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory indicates that there have been a number of <br />surveys for cultural resources previously conducted within this permit area although much of the <br />azea has never been surveyed for cultural resources. Two cultural resources (SGA 1015 and <br />SGA2256) have been recorded within the area of "affected ]ands" but neither is eligible for the <br />State Register of Historic Places. <br />Should human remains be discovered during mining activities the requirements under State law <br />CRS 24.80 part 13 must be followed. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
