EXHIBIT E
SUNDAY MINE RECLAMATION PLAN - AS AMENDED
The following section discusses amended areas to the existing Sunday Mine Permit (Permit
Number M 1977-285, issued September 3Q, 1977 and amended May 23, 1983).
This Reclamation (112) Permit Amendment is for five proposed vent holes located on various
Sunday Mine claims. One vent hole is located in the southeast quarter of Section 23, two vent
holes are located in the northeast quarter of Section 24, one vent hole is located on the section
line between the northeast quarter of Section 24 and the northwest quarter of Section 19, and the
fifth vent hole is located in the northwest quarter of Section 19. These five vent holes are
anticipated to be installed between 2007 and 2010. The disturbed area anticipated for each vent
hole will be approximately ~/a acre, for a total disturbance from the five proposed vent holes of 1.5
acres.
Vent holes will be reclaimed by welding a steel plate over the vent hole casing and then
constructing a reinforced concrete cap over the steel plate. The concrete cap will include small I-
beams, angle iron, and rebar for structural support and a minimum thickness of 6 inches of
concrete. The concrete cap will be covered by 3 to 4 feet of soil collected from within the area of
disturbance associated with the vent hole. Topsoil from the vent hole areas will be pushed to one
side of the disturbed area and leveled for use in reclamation at a later time. This topsoil will then
be pushed back to cover the vent hole area during reclamation. All disturbed areas will be ripped
and seeded in the late fall. Vent holes will be seeded with the Bureau of Land Management
approved seed mix (see table below). The vent holes are normally expected to remain serviceable
throughout the duration of mine operations. Reclamation of vent sites will normally be
conducted as part of final reclamation and closure of all mine facilities.
