,. ,
SUBSIDENCE MONITORING PLAN
E-SEAM LONGWALL PANELS 1 EAST AND 2 EAST
This Subsidence Monitoring Plan (Plan) outlines: the monitoring
program to be followed for the 1 East and 2 East langwall panels
in the E-seam. This Plan is designed to verify the subsidence
predictions for dray angle and maximum subsidence contained the
Permit for the No. 6 Mine longwall panels.
1.0 Monitoring Points
This Plan utilizes both existing and new monitoring points. Not
all of the existing monitoring points will be monitored under this
Plan_ Figure 1 illustrates the locations of existing subsidence
monitoring points with respect to No. 5 Mine workings (F-seam) and
Na. 6 Mine workings (E-seam). Figure 1 also shows generalized
overburden thickness contours for No. 6 Mine.
A projected zero-subsidence contour was used to determine which
monuments wpuld be monitored under this Plan for mining of 1 East
and 2 East longwall panels. This projected zero-subsidence contour
is shown on Figure 1. It is based on the anticipated 19 degree
draw angle plus a 6 degree buffer factor. Cyprus Empire will c,
monitor parts of existing lines "A", "8", "c", "D", "S", and "T". `~
Specific points to be monitored are listed i.n Section 2.0, ~~ ~-c.''
`
Monitoring Schedule, of this Plan. ,
1,F1 ~
New monuments will be constructed to extend monitoring line "B". -;,"`:
~

These new monuments will be constructed on 5D-ft centers along the .
~
`~:
,,.
.orientations shown on Figure i. Monument construction will conform ~,
~ 1'
to the requirements and specifications contained in the Permit. +
~'
~
c.; ~
~U
i ~ ~,
2.0 Monitoring_$chedule ~~'`~

It is the intent of Cyprus Empire to provide monitoring under this
Plan of potentially a#Eected monuments on a quarterly basis.
However, this monitoring schedule will be modified as necessary to
accomodate weather conditions.
Monitoring oz any given point will continue until. two successive
surveys indicate subsidence has ceased. Monitoring of a point
satisfying this criteria will then be discantinuecl.
2.1 Quarterly monitoring, 1 East Lonywall
(a) Lines "S" and "T", monuments S1 through 517 and
T1 and T2. Monitoring to commence no later than
when the longwall face is 800 ft from
monument T2.
(b) Line ^C", monuments C1 through C17. Monitoring
to commence no later than when the lottgwall face
is 630 ft from monument CLJ.
