EXHIBIT D - MIN1NG PLAN
Mining will occur as a year-round operation and will begin on the southern end of AREA E and
progress in a northerly direction. By beginning mining at the southern end of the parcel, we are
better able to make more efficient use of our existing facilities and eliminate the need to
construct a separate haul road. In addition, this will help to decrease the total disturbed area on
the site.
Mining will begin with the stripping of topsoil and overburden from the azea immediately
adjacent to AREA D. The topsoiUoverburden stockpiles will be located in the existing mine
area. We will extract and crush gravel from an open face, as the product is needed, which is the
same method as has been used on the site for mining the other areas. Earth moving equipment,
crusher/conveyor equipment, and haul trucks will be used to extract, process, and load the
material from AREA E. Material stockpiles will be located in the existing mine area. The
impacts from extrarting and processing the gravel from AREA E will not be any greater or more
significant than those cunently occurring. Transportation of the material will be through the
existing access point at the north end of AREA B along the paved Fairgrounds Road.
