Ha asked iP this issue could be brought up prior to the presentation. <br />Fred Wislay, resident in RedJtill Forest, felt thla case would htwe a wttflict of interest because an elected <br />official Wes representing the applicant. He suggested one was ro resolve this issue was for fhe applicant to <br />represent himself <br />Kent explai»ed the applicant would bave to .make the decision'w represent himself, not the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Dave Wissel, representative, explained he was representing the applicant es a private individual representing a <br />portion of the Family enterprise mown as G.E.G.E. Aaveiopment Consulting, and no other entity. lie did not <br />believe there was a conflict of interest end ho would represent the applicant fairly. <br />bent declared he thought there was no reason for the representative to recuse himself, as he did cot see a <br />conflict of interest. <br />'chael Williams explained his contractors in his business have subcontracted through Allen Drilling and <br />`tzcavation, TKE concrete services, and that he could fairly make a decision for this request. <br />Tom gave a Powerpoint presentation on the subject property and answered questions bum the board members. <br />The applicant was called forward for explanation and questions. Mr. Wissel gave soma history of Allan <br />Drilling, IKE concrete business. He explained what the exact proposal was for clarification. Mr. Wissel also <br />answered questions from the board members. <br />Kent Rolt, resident of Holiday Flills for 7 years, gave reasons why he was opposed to the request. The reasons <br />were becatrsa the proposed use violated the SCratagic Master Plan, it would affect the wildlife, there would be no <br />way to screen the facility because the neighbors would be looking down on the property. Ha oleo voiced his <br />opinion that one person should not have priority over 600 people is the area and he asked the board to <br />recommend denial for the request. Ha explained that he communicated with lack Allen and oFfered to purchase <br />the subject property from him to preserve i.t, however Mr. A11en declin, ed the rcqueat. Kent Ralf answered <br />questions from iha board tnetnbers. <br />Fred Willey, Redhill Forest resident, explained in his opinion that the application should include mining and <br />crushing of gravel. He explained there was a flood nn the subject property in 1992 or 1993. Mr. Wislay <br />presented documents for the record- !Cent Kaib asked for copies of the documents for the rorArd.
