The before <br />mentioned procedure will be used for two main reasons. <br />1. To determine the rate of diffusion througho>at the <br />pond for hydrogen peroxide <br />2. To determine the reaction rate and efficiency <br />Pond freezing will not present a problem for hydrogen ~beroxide <br />because of the following: <br />1. The 1NCO S02 system is scheduled to be operating by <br />October 15, 1992 <br />2. Based on operational experience last winter, the <br />tailings slurry carries sufficient thermal energy to <br />promote thawing directly in front of the beadh area. <br />This open water will have sufficient area to <br />facilitate hydrogen peroxide addition. <br />5670 GREEN WOOD PLAZA BLVD.
