Map unit: 68 Table Mountain loam <br />Description Category: SOI <br />The Table Mountain soil is a deep, well drained soil. It is formed in alluvium from loamy <br />material. The surface layer is a loam. The upper part of the subsoil is a loam. The <br />lower part of the subsoil does contain thin strata of gravelly sandy loam predom <br />inaptly being loam. The Table Mountain soils have moderate permeability. The <br />available water holding capacity is high. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches or more. <br />Runoff is slow and the erosion hazard due to wind is moderate. This soil is subject to <br />rare periods of flooding in the spring and into the summer. <br />Tuesday, May 76, 2006 Page 2 oj2 <br />
