MINING PLAN <br />Geotechnical Stability <br />No geotechnical problems are expected to occur with this site. It is highly similar to other sites in <br />the existing operation and no stability problems with respect to mining the gravel have occurred. To further <br />protect the site from overflows of the river, a protective barrier berm is designed into the plan. This will <br />only remain until the backfilling is completed at which point the protective barrier berm will be removed. <br />Cross-Sections <br />Two cross-sections are provided on the following pages. These cross-sections show the structure of <br />the site and some irrq~ortant details regarding the protective barrier berm dimensions and other aspects. <br />Similar cross-sections can also be found at the end of the Reclamation Plan (Exhibit E).
