Une of the arguments used by the operator is <br />that persistent rains delayed construction on the pond. To check the <br />validity of this claim, I contacted the State Climatologist to obtain the <br />rainfall data near the mine site that occurred between August 15 and <br />September 29, 1982, the period in wfliclr the pond was to be built.
