Box 694 <br />Granby, CO 80446 <br />Note: The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety ("Division") shall not be a party, but <br />shall participate in the hearing as staff to the Board. <br />III. ISSUES <br />Presentations to the Boazd shall be limited to the following issues. The parties shall limit <br />presentations to the question of whether the pending application should be approved or denied, <br />based on the issues stated below. <br />Has the applicant adequately addressed how disturbances to the prevailing <br />hydrologic balance of the affected land and the surrounding azea and to the <br />quantity and quality of water in groundwater systems both during and afrer the <br />mining operation will be minimized? Specific concerns are listed below. (Rule <br />3.1.6 and §34-32.5-116(4)(h)) <br />Exposure of the ground water table <br />Compliance with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations governing <br />injury to existing water rights <br />Potential impacts to water quality including the magnesium chloride used on <br />the roads <br />Has the Applicant indicated the projected amount from each source of water to <br />supply the project water requirements for the mining operation and reclamation <br />plan? (Rule 6.4.7(4)) <br />3. Have all affected lands been identified? (Rule 6.4.1) <br />
