Box 2221
Granite, (blorado 81228
260-668-0362
__ September 26, 2005
Division of Mineral and Geology
Dept. of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 15
Denver, Colorado 80203
Attn: Carl Mount
Carl,
After discussion at length about amending our permit because of all the
errors, both you and Bruce Humphries made us a little uneasy about the
problems we may face with the Board of County Commissioners.
Since day one when Michael B. Long, Division Director at that time signed
our permit it was wrong! According to Bruce Humphries at that time we
were even charged the wrong amount. We feel that if we have a letter from
the DMG stating that we are amending our permit because of an error we
will not have any problems or expense with the county.
Again I want to emphasize that the problems we have had are all because of
errors caused by your department.
If this will help get this problem behind us we feel it is necessary for you to
full fill this request. At this time I don't feel it necessary to point out all the
mistakes again. If you feel that we would need a letter from your
department to accompany the other departments we need to notify our intent
to amend our permit, we would appreciate it if you would enclose them.
We also discussed the fact that when we receive any thing from your
department we are given a date that the DMG wants us to comply by or
some action will be taken by the DMG, we will not do this but the sooner
this can be handled the better!
