He
indicated Joe Conrado of Meeker Sand and Gravel, Inc. is
authorized to represent Frontier Materials on the site.
Meeker Sand and Gravel has operated at the site for almost
6 years. Frontier Materials is the permit holder and carries
the bond on the site. Frontier Materials is about to submit a
Succession of Operator application to the Division to transfer
the permit to Meeker Sand and Gravel, Inc.
4/09/92 9ivision inspected the Meeker Pit site. A possible violation
of the permit for mining outside the permit boundary was
suspected. Mr. Conrado agreed to survey the permit boundaries
as soon as possible. A possible problem was noted that proper
signage and boundaries of the affected area were not evident on
the ground.
4/15/92 Division received a copy of the new survey of the permit area
and all mining-related activities from Mr. Conrado. The map
shows some stockpiles and stripped areas occur outside the
north boundary of the permit area. Mr. Conrado waived his
right to a 20 day notice and asked that the possible violation
be heard at the April Board meeting.
4/15/92 Division sent the forms for filing an amendment to the permit
as requested by Mr. Conrado.
4/21/92 i~1r. Conrado is working on the amendment. He tried to finish it
before the Board meeting. He scheduled a meeting with the
Division on April 23, 1992 to discuss the amendment application.
WCYF/ern
2694E
(4/92)
