• iii iiiiiiiiiiiiim • <br />999 <br />SYNOPSIS OF EVENTS <br />Property: Meeker Pit <br />Permittee: Frontier Materials, Inc. <br />Permit No.: M-76-038 <br />Operator: Meeker Sand and Gravel, Inc. <br />Location: Rio Blanco County <br />Date Description <br />4/08/92 Division reached Dick DeManche, President of Frontier Materials <br />concerning inspection scheduled for April 9, 1992. He <br />indicated Joe Conrado of Meeker Sand and Gravel, Inc. is <br />authorized to represent Frontier Materials on the site. <br />Meeker Sand and Gravel has operated at the site for almost <br />6 years. Frontier Materials is the permit holder and carries <br />the bond on the site. Frontier Materials is about to submit a <br />Succession of Operator application to the Division to transfer <br />the permit to Meeker Sand and Gravel, Inc. <br />4/09/92 9ivision inspected the Meeker Pit site. A possible violation <br />of the permit for mining outside the permit boundary was <br />suspected. Mr. Conrado agreed to survey the permit boundaries <br />as soon as possible. A possible problem was noted that proper <br />signage and boundaries of the affected area were not evident on <br />the ground. <br />4/15/92 Division received a copy of the new survey of the permit area <br />and all mining-related activities from Mr. Conrado. The map <br />shows some stockpiles and stripped areas occur outside the <br />north boundary of the permit area. Mr. Conrado waived his <br />right to a 20 day notice and asked that the possible violation <br />be heard at the April Board meeting. <br />4/15/92 Division sent the forms for filing an amendment to the permit <br />as requested by Mr. Conrado. <br />4/21/92 i~1r. Conrado is working on the amendment. He tried to finish it <br />before the Board meeting.
