(Transit Mix Concrete). <br />Certified Mail #: 7003 1680 0004 1988 b335 Return Receipt Requested <br />Dear Sirs: <br />In accordance with the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Baazd for [he Extraction of Construction Materials, the enclosed copy of a public notice is being <br />provided to you. The rules require that all parties who own surface land within the permit area or <br />within 200 feet of the affected land boundary of the land included in a permit application or <br />amendment to a permit application be provided with a copy of the public notice. This is provided <br />so you can be given an opportunity to examine the application at the locations stated in the notice <br />and, if you so desire, provide comments to the Division of Minerals and Geology regarding the <br />application and its contents. <br />The property under the ownership of Eagle-Picher Technologies LLC is located northeast of the <br />subject property. It is shown on the El Paso County Assessor records as property with the <br />schedule number 6502000119. Although your property is beyond the 200 foot notification <br />boundary, you are nevertheless being notified. This is because of the contaminated water <br />remediation program occurring under the permit amendment area, which, it is our understanding, <br />Eagle-Picher is involved in to some extent. The permit amendment was prepared in close <br />coordination with Environmental Strategies Corporation who is the primary party implementing <br />the remediation program. The extent of the sand extraction that would occur has been limited by <br />full consideration of the potential impacts on the remediation program. Environmental Strategies _, <br />was extremely helpful in designing the mining plan and the reclamation plan for this project. <br />Included, in addition to the notice, is a map of the location of the amendment.
