Canany <br /> Division Director <br />RE: Rationale for Recommendation for Approval, Over Objections, Amendment Natural Resource Trustee <br />Application AM-02, Thompson Resonrce Ptt, Permit No. M-1983-102 <br />Dear Mr. Thompson, <br />Enclosed please fmd the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) Rationale for Recommendation for <br />Approval, Over Objections, for Amendment Application AM-02. This document explains the Division's reasoning for <br />recommending approval of Amendment Application AM-02 over objections that were received prior to and during the <br />public comment period. <br />The Division completed the required technical review of the adequacy concerns for the Thompson Resource 112c <br />Amendment application submitted by Environment, Inc. on behalf of Thompson Properties, and recommended approval <br />on January 10, 2007. The Division believes that the applicant has complied with the minimum requirements of the <br />Construction Materials Act and Regulations. The Division is prepared to recommend approval of the Amendment <br />Application to the Mined Land Reclamation Board at the February 14 - 15, 2007 Board meeting. <br />Objectors may withdraw their comments prior to the start of the Board Meeting if they choose not to be a party to this <br />matter (must be in writing). If objections are not withdrawn, al] pertinent issues will be presented to the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board at the Febntary 14 - 15, 2007 meeting. <br />As a reminder, prior to the February 14 - 15, 2007 Board meeting, the Division will hold aPre-Hearing Conference on <br />January 24, 2007 beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand County Road and Bridge Central Maintenance Facility Conference <br />Room, 467 East Topaz Avenue, Granby, Colorado. <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
