~'
' It should be noted that in the case of the proposed HR-6 culvert crossing
at MP 0.14 a 24" culvert is recommended. The Basin Master Plan did not
' indicate a culvert was required at this location, however based on topography
one probably should have been shown. The new criteria together w(th the• gze
design storm results in a theoretical 36" crossing. The 24" sizes is
I' recommended in order to be consistent with the existing crossing under Cedar
Heights Drive. Any overflow will continue Easterly down the access road to
' the existing 24" and 54" CSP's near the Security entrance. The location of
the existing Improvements along the Cedar Heights Drive (not consistent with
' the Master Plan) will result in the runoff being carried in the street for
approximately 700 feet.
The plan to accommodate surface runoff is a refinement and update of
recommendations initially made in the Basin Master Plan. Installation of the
facilities will result in flows being carried across the road to the Snyder E'ork
drainage Instead of along the access road and should result in a significantly
reduced flow at the Security entrance. The Operator will provide functional
maintenance on all culvert crossings proposed in this Plan.
' SURFACE DISTURBANCES
' The plans for corrective action on the surface disturbances includes a
combination of reshaping, regrading or removal of material along with
revegetation. Again, for purposes of presentation of the plan for this i1:em,
two categories have been defined, one oP the preparation of the disturbances
and one of the revegetation. The Pormer is discussed in this subsection, the
' latter in the "Revegetation" subsection.
' I. AREA 1 AND INUNDATION UPSTREAM. The Area 1 disturbance is
one of stabilizing the slope after a fill slope failure. The selected
' corrective action includes flattening the slope to the recommended
maximum 2:1 and filling of the area of inundation. This work will be
completed under the observation of the geotechnical consultant. the
' existing and finished grades are shown in detail in both an Area 1
cross-section and a I"=50' detail In the Exhibits.
J
to
~~
