Long <br />San Luis, CO 81152-0310 Division Director <br />RE: San Luis Project, Permit No. M-88-112 <br />Dear Ms. Hayes: <br />As we discussed during my June 12-13, 1995 inspection trip there are a icouple of <br />changes that need to be made to the list of monitoring and reporting req~(irements I <br />sent you on June 1, 1995. <br />The main embankment piezometers must be monitored once a month arjd the tailings <br />piezometers monitored every quarter. The change is you only have to r port the data <br />once a year in your annual report. You need to add to your list that the ow rate <br />from the tailings impoundment to the collection pond must be monitored onthly and <br />the data reported once a year in your annual report. In addition, if water is detected <br />in any of the piezometers BMRI must report this information to the Division within one <br />week.
