Stevens <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />1313 Sherman St., P.oom 215 <br />Denver, CO 30203 <br />RE: Quinn Quarry (File M-91-147) <br />Dear Mr. Stevens: <br />• • <br /> <br />JAN 0 7 ?99 <br />Mined Land <br />My father, Carl Quinn, operated the building stone quarry from <br />1935 until his death in 1973, under the General Mining Laws of <br />1872 (filing, recording and working the claim in open, notorious, <br />and continuous fashion). <br />In 1979 we became aware that a BLM number was required in addition <br />to the above requirements, which we obtained (CMC 130607). <br />In 1984, the Forest Service requested that we file an Operation <br />Plan, and we complied. TJntil your recent phone call and letter, <br />we were not a~•rare that we cvere in any way violating State mining <br />laws. <br />In 1986 we filed for a patent with the BLM.
