The employees of this quarry have been throwing
rock rubble over the edge for several months. We have tried to stop this
procedure with no avail. We are contacting you for help.
The steps we have taken are the following: (1) Called Boulder County Sheriffs
Department who witnessed the throwing and went up to quarry to speak with
them. The Sheriffs Department informed us there was nothing they could do.
(2) Contacted Chester Barnard, the owner of property, who informed us there
was nothing he could do because he did not speak Spanish. (3) Called Boulder
County Land Use, Ed Mecham, who is working on it but doesn't know what to do.
He can not locate the owner of the property and also informs us it will take
months through their system. (4) Called Immigration Naturalization Service who
has not returned our call.
Our neighbors to the north of us are in direct harm of a boulder being kicked free
and smashing into their homes. All these neighbors know about the situation and
also have tried to stop this action. One neighbor has been trying to video tape
the event for proof and can't seem to get close enough. We have had several
witnesses including the Sheriffs Department. Please help us stop this
dangerous, land-raping event before someone gets hurt!
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
~,~ ~ G~
Don and Diane Johnson
~~clkv b1~ 1
• iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
L1EC~`v~~
2~- 2p00
~U~ mess&~ea\o9Y
