Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs (Rule 6.4.12) <br />The figures used for acreages, volumes and distances in the reclamation scenario appear proper. After receiving <br />your responses to this letter, this office will calculate the bond amount and forward the figures for your review. <br />Exhibit S -Permanent Man-made Structures (Rule 6.4.19) <br />The application identifies several structures within 200 feet of and in the affected azea, which aze owned by parties <br />other than the applicant. Proof of mailed notices to these parties has been submitted. The mining and reclamation <br />maps indicate that earthwork will occur in close proximity to some structures. Pursuant to this Rule, under this <br />exhibit the applicant must submit either damage agreements, engineering evaluations, or statements by the utilities <br />owning the structures that no damage will occur, as appropriate. Please ensure that these documents are stamped or <br />notarized, as required. <br />Geotechnical Stability Exhibit (Rule 6.5) <br />The 2:1 natural slopes aze compazed to the 2:1 created slopes, though they will consist of greatly differing material. <br />Because the statement of stability has an engineer's signature on it, this office will accept it. Please be awaze that if <br />failure of the fill slopes does occur, due to poor placement, compaction, or saturation, or severe erosion occurs due <br />to poor drainage control, aspects of the proposed plan may need to be revised, including reducing the 2:1 slope <br />gradient. No comment is necessary. <br />Filing of Additional Items <br />Please be awaze that all materials that aze submitted toward addressing the adequacy concerns of this application, <br />must also be additionally filed at the county clerk and recorder's office, pursuant to Rule 6.4.18. Please ensure that <br />such materials aze promptly filed, and a receipt for such filing obtained. This receipt must be received by this <br />office prior to the decision date. <br />Decision Date <br />The decision date has been extended twice, and is now set for October 4, 2004. )f, by the close of business on the <br />decision date, all application items aze not adequate, the application may be denied. Please allow several days for <br />this office to review and comment on new submittals. If additional time is needed to prepare and submit adequacy <br />responses or items that were changed due to county requirements, please contact this office to discuss an extension. <br />All response materials should be submitted to this office in duplicate, especially oversized maps.
