Shelton : In accordance with the findings of the Mined Land Reclamation Board at its June 24 and July 22 meetings , Exxon Company , U. S . A. , as operator of the Colony Shale Oil Project, herewith applies for an amendment to our Development and Extraction Mining Permit No. 80- 47 to add an area that includes our access road from its junction with County Road 215 northerly to the southern boundary of the current permit area. We request that Permit No. 8080=47 be amended to include the area as described on the attachment. The construction of this section of access road will result in the disturbance of approximately 50 acres. The proposed addition to the permit area of approximately 275 acres will cover all foreseeable disturbances adjacent to or along this access road. Pursuant to the Board' s directive , we are filing this application at this time to permit prompt review by the Board . We respectfully request that this application be scheduled for a Board hearing as soon as possible . Our check for $400 . 00 in payment of the application fee ($25 . 00 plus $7 . 50 per acre of disturbed area) is enclosed.
