(BMRI) - San Luis
DMG Permit No. M-88-112
Relocation of RS-5 Staff Gauge
Dear Mr. Dillie:
When you visited our site on May O1, 1997 we talked briefly about
the problem with our RS-5 Gauging Station. Beaver have built dams
downstream from the station and water has backed up to the point
that our staff gauge is nearly inundated. We would like to suggest
moving the gauging station downstream approximately 300 feet. This
new location would be below the existing beaver dam and allow for
more accurate measurement of stream flow. We would like permission
to accomplish this move. Enclosed please find photographs
depicting the current location and associated problem. There is
also a photograph depicting the proposed new location below the
beaver dam. The proposed site is approximately 250 feett from our
property boundary and well within our property. I have also
enclosed a map indicating current location of the gauging station
and the proposed site.
If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ron imwalt
~~~tj~2`~~~
CC: Anne Baldrige
Dan Robertson
File
ENCLOSURES
