•
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Programl
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures followed at
Evergreen Analytical, Inc., utilize protocol applicable to the analyses
requested to ensure the quality of the data. All analytical procedures are
documented by written methods and performed in accordance with ,these procedures.
All laboratory data are then reviewed by a Quality Assurance Officer prior to
release to the client.
Evergreen's QAlQC plan encompasses sample receiving, preparation, tracking,
storage, analysis and disposal. The procedures are designedfito ensure sample
integrity, location and security.
Methods of analysis include those prescribed by the EPA(4 CFR 6 SW-846),
Standard Methods, NIOSH and ASTM. Deviation from these methods are approved by
the client prior to analysis of the sample. All methods are ma'ntained by each
grcup supervisor and updated as required.
Instruments are calibrated in accordance with the protocol of the analyses
performed. Method blanks are used to evaluate potential labora ory and reagent
contamination. EPA reference samples, matrix spikes, and dupl'cates are used
to monitor the sample preparation and analytical procedures. Surrogates are
introduced to monitor the effectiveness of the sample extract on procedures.
Organic and inorganic analyses follow protocol for blank an matrix spike
requirements as specified by the particular analytical method.
It is the policy of the laboratory to track QC data on a daily basis and
to provide this data on request to the client at additional cost. All surrogate
spike recoveries and reagent black results are provided routinely`to the clients
with every GCMS and GC data package.
Evergreen Analytical's highest priority is to provide quality results in the
minimum amount of time and at a fair price.
