63
1
1
i
1
:~.:.,.
1
• •
1 received a complaint from Mr. Nagle about off-site
2 impacts. That they -- in the previous July had done
3 the report, were submitting a report. There is
4 annotation by Camile Farrell that a meeting was held.
5 The second letter that followed up
6 that meeting -- I don't have that letter with me,
7 read at our October 28, 1968 meeting -- hearing,
8 which we discussed the status and maintenance plans
9 for the Snyder Quarry access road -- I propose to
10 discuss the road situation with Division Director,
11 Fred Banta, for advice regarding permitting
12 requirement upon review of the further specified
13 definition of affected lands in the newly revised
14 rulings and regulation and the fact that the quarry
15 access road was constructed primarily to access the
16 mine area. It was decided that the road should be
17 included as affected .lands in .t=he .Sn.yde.r quarry
18 .permit. The inclusion of the road requires amendment
19 as the permit acreage will be increased. Please
20 provide reclamation plans for a long-term commitment
21 for mai ntenance of the road such that additional
22 slides, sedimentation, et cetera, will be controlled
23 and/or mitigated. Other than the small notation that
24 a meeting was held ir. October of '9B, this is the
25 first indication to me that the Division is aware of
MIDYETT REPORTING SERVICE
(303) 424-2217
