B. Deliver fertilizer in waterproof bags showing weight, chemical analysis, and <br />name of manufacturer. <br />C. Stripped material to be used for topsoiling disturbed areas shall be transported <br />to stockpile areas conducive to storage of topsoil and approved by the Engineer. <br />Run-off shall be diverted around topsoil stockpiles to minimize erosion <br />PART 2 -PRODUCTS <br />2-1 SEED MIX <br />A. Seed mixture shall be Low Grow Mix from Arkansas Valley Seed Co. <br />(303-320-7500) using a seeding rate of 25 Ibs per acre. The mixture shall <br />include the following species of grasses: <br />1. 30 percent Ephraim Crested Wheatgrass <br />2. 25 percent Dwarf Perennial Ryegrass <br />3. 20 percent SR3200 Blue Fescue <br />4. 15 percent Reubens Canada Bluegrass <br />5. 10 percent Chewing Fescue <br />2-2 MULCH <br />A. Mulch shall be threshed straw or cereal grain such as oats, wheat, barley, rye, <br />rice, etc., or grass hay. Materials that contain objectionable weed seeds or <br />other species detrimental to planting being established will not be acceptable. <br />PART 3 -EXECUTION <br />3-1 PREPARATORY WORK <br />A. Verify with the Engineer the areas to be reclaimed and the final grading and <br />contouring. <br />B. Remove all Contractor's equipment, debris, office, temporary fences or gates, <br />and all other Contractor's properties in accordance with Section 01114: <br />Cleanup and Disposal of Waste Materials. <br />C. Eliminate uneven areas and low spots. Remove debris, roots, branches, and <br />stones in excess of 3-inch size. <br />D. Scarify subgrade soil to a depth of 4 inches where topsoil is required. Scarify <br />all other areas to receive seed that have been disturbed by equipment used for <br />hauling and has compacted the subgrade soil. <br />W. W. Wheeler and fissoclotes, In<.
