The initial grading at this area was not
adequate last year and seeding was not very successful. I've regraded and ready to try again.
I would like to substitute Prairie Cordgrass for the Common and the Canadian Reedgrass, and use
Nebraska sedge for the Carex sedge. My seed person tells me Carex means sedge. The reason for this
request is cost. Cordgrass is supposed to grow just as good and have similar characteristics as the
reedgrass.
Enclosed is a list of the wetlands seedmix from the reclamation plan and two more- hard to read sheets.
One tells a bit about reedgrass and one tells about cordgrass. You probably already know about them
anyway.
Let me know your decision so I can get something ordered and planted. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Brent W.
