` EXHIBIT J
EXISTING VEGETATION
The property consists of two distinct areas in terms of vegetation. A riparian area of
approximately three acres can be found situated between the Poudre River and the north
pond. This area is characterized by cattails, sedges, wetland grass species,
Cottonwood/Willow growth, Russian Olive and Boxelder. The woody vegetation
surrounding the ponds is predominantly Russian Olive with Cottonwoods and Willows in
evidence. The banks of the ponds are sparsely vegetated with weeds.
The uplands that make up Phase 2 consist of cropland and pastureland for grazing. This
area has very little tree or shrub cover. Several large Cottonwoods remain at the
perimeter of the pasture area.
This information was supplied by the Colorado Division of Wildlife after several visits to
the site. Please refer to their letter following Exhibit E.
J-1
