EXHIBIT I
SOILS INFORMATION
The following information regarding the soils for this application was obtained from the
Weld County Soils Survey prepared by the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service.
The property lies within the floodplain of the Cache La Poudre River. The soils are
classified as aquolls and aquents by the Soil Conservation Service. The soils are
essentially a valley fill aquifer of sand and gravel overlain by a layer of topsoil and some
overburden. The sand and gravel is interspersed with lenses of clays and silts that were
deposited by floods.
The water table is high due to the close proximity of the river. It tends to fall in the late
summer and all through the winter as the river levels recede.
The copy of the SCS information is enclosed for reference. These soils are identical to
the ones found in the original permitted area.
I-1
