RECLAMATION PLAN
Exhibit E -AMENDMENT
Reclamation Plan
STATEMENT OF APPLICABILITY OF THIS PLAN
This exhibit is designed to completely replace all prior reclamation plans for this site. However,
this plan does include portions of the current reclamation plan that have demonstrated good success.
DETAILED RECLAMATION PLAN
Linkages to Reclamation Plan Map in Exhibit F
The reclamation plan map for this plan is Exhibit F. This map provides the information
regarding final topography and some of the particulars of the plan itself. But most of the actual
plan is contained in this Exhibit E.
Post-Mining Land Uses
The final land use proposed for this land is the same as the final land use for the existing
permit. The land will be returned to grazing and pasture use by the landowner (the permittee).
Much of the land under the ownership of the permittee is used for grazing or hay production for
the cattle ranch. Because of the location of this site being similar to pasture in similar locations
west of Running Creek, this site is highly suitable for these purposes. Furthermore, past success
in the reclamation of the existing mined area has shown this final land use is feasible.
Materials Handling - Backfilling
Backfilling is a minor part of the reclamation process. Final slopes are created using a cut
and fill process to produce the 3:1 final slope. Because there is so little overburden there is little
material available to do much backfilling. Therefore, most backfilling is actually covered under
Miller Gravel Pit Amendment (2007) Exhibit E Page 1 of 4
