obligations for periods prior to the commencement of the term of this Lease for compliance with <br />all such laws and regulations, except laws and regulations (and attendant obligations) relating to <br />mined land reclamation and water augmentation. Lessor shall grant Lessee reasonable access to <br />the Property [o carry out post-termination reclamation or other activities that may be required or <br />permitted to be performed by Lessee after termination. <br />15. Notices. Any notice required or petmitted to be given hereunder shall be deemed <br />to be completed upon the eaz]ier of the following: (a) Upon personal delivery to Lessor and to <br />Donald L. Banner at the addresses indicated in Pazagraph 1, or to an officer, director, or key <br />employee of Lessee; or {b) at five o'clock p.m. on the third business day following the posting of <br />such notice by means of first class postage through the United States Postal Service, Return <br />Receipt Requested to the address listed above for the intended recipient, or to the last known <br />address of such intended recipient if other than first set forth above. The parties may change <br />their address for purposes of notice by sending notice of same to the other party at the address <br />provided herein. <br />16. Reclamation. Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd and the Mined Land Reclamation Office, or their <br />successors, for reclamation of mined land will apply where applicable to the Property. Variations <br />or waivers may be granted, accepted or agreed to only with Lessor's approval which shall not be <br />unreasonably withheld. <br />17. Inspection. During business hours and upon three (3) business days advance <br />notice to Lessee, Lessor, or his duly authorized agent shall be and hereby are authorized to go on <br />the Property and to examine, inspect and survey the same. All conveniences necessary for said <br />inspection or survey shall be furnished to Lessor, or his agent, by Lessee, at Lessor's expense; <br />s:\ICgal\wkd\tmccpuebloVeuse.doc 18 <br />
