Approximately 180 acres. Township 2 South, Range 67 West, <br /> & 20, Longitude 104°55", Latitude 39°51'15" d Eiy� <br /> Use: Mixed agriculture (cucumber, green pepper, ?); conveyor belt running from 88th <br /> north to property border <br /> General site: Most agricultural activities on southerly two-thirds of property. Gravel <br /> company effects seen in strip for conveyor and adjacent dredge pool. Exposed <br /> gravel allowing invader species. Most of area showed heavy disturbance (tansy <br /> mustard, cheat grass, thistle). Dry and friable soils. <br /> Wetlands identified: Approximately 1.04 acres. <br /> A. Along South Platte: The north section included heavy past disturbance <br /> consisting mostly of concrete slabs dumped at the river's edge. The area <br /> under the conveyor showed post-grading affects. Disturbance, in both <br /> cases, occurred vegetatively in the form of invader species. In particular, <br /> Canadian and Russian thistle (12" - 36"). <br /> Wetland species: Salix exigua <br /> Betula occidenralis <br /> Salix irrorara <br /> Salix purpurea <br /> Populus sarg endi <br /> Carex nebraskensis <br /> Carer latruginosa <br /> Moving south along the river there was an increase in the size and occurrence of <br /> lame cottonwoods. <br /> Species: same as above <br /> Scirpus americansus <br /> Typha ladfolia <br /> tall grass moving into wet areas <br /> Wildlife: ducks, gulls, pelicans, blackbirds, deer <br /> B. Bull Seep is a relatively diverse wetland in terms of vegetation and wildlife <br /> species.
