I. General Comments
A partial inspection was conducted of the mine with emphasis
placed on the drainage control system.
Temperatures were unseasonably warm, which caused rapid runoff
from snowmelt.
At the start of the inspection, the morning of February 16, I
was accompanied by Craig Ilanson, Mine Engineer. Mr. Bowman was

were identified that needed cesolution. I left the mine and
later met Mr. Bowman In Paonta around 3:00 P.M. We returned to
the mine to identify and discuss resolution of various problems
(see Section III). I returned to the mine on February 17 to
verify that problems were resolved - Mr. Bowman accompanied me.
