will combine and will continue mining the remaining Phases. The production from each of the
initial two mining Stages is expected to account for half of the overall production from the mine.
The first stage will mine Phases Al through A4 sequentially from the north to the south starting on
the northern portion of the La Salle Aggregate Reserves' western property (formerly the George
Property) and will require approximately 19.8 yeazs to mine. The second stage will begin at the old
Metcalf Pit and will mine Phases B 1 through B4 by first mining south through Phases B 1 and B2
and then mining west through Phases B3 and B4. Stage B will take approximately the same amount
of time to mine as Stage A, and both will be mined concurrently. The Phases in both Stages A and
B have been scheduled such that Phase Al will terminate at roughly the same point in time as Phase
B 1 and likewise for the remaining Phases in Stages A and B.
As seen on Map C-2, there are two houses in Phase B 1 which will need to be removed prior to
mining of the area. Removal of the two houses will take place near the beginning of the operation in
enough time that the removal does not interfere with the mining operations. The operator and owner
wish to reserve the right to optionally leave the area where the houses are located to be mined at the
end of the mining operations. If the operator chooses to go with this option, this will be detailed in
the annual report which will be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology.
During the mining of Phases A4 and B4, Phase 5 will be stripped of topsoil and prepared for
mining. In preparation for mining of Phase 5, the house on the La Salle Aggregate Reserves'
western property as well as several other farm related buildings in the general vicinity of the house
will have to be removed. As with the houses in Phase B 1, the operator and owner reserve the right
to optionally leave the area where the house and buildings are located to be mined at the end of the
mining operation. If this option is chosen, this will also be detailed in the annual report to the
Division of Minerals and Geology. The County will receive copies of all correspondence to the
Division.
At the conclusion of Stages A and B, production will be combined for Stage C. Stage C mining will
then progress through the remaining mining Phases 5 through 13 sequentially. The last step in
mining the property will come in mining Phases 12 and 13. Phases 12 and 13 consists of removing
the natural berm on the eastern portion of the permit area. Phase 12 will be remove the natural berm
Haldorson Sand.and Gravel Mine 11
