(Ames) was directed to install a rock drain near the
Phase IVb PSSA sump to drain an intermittent seep. Ames excavated a 3' wide by 2' deep by 40'
long subgrade trench along the 2H:1V slope just above the PSSA sump area. The trench was
connected to a 14' deep by 4' squaze sump (see Figure 1, attached). The ffench and sump were
backfilled with Underdrain Fill (UF). The trench and sump were then covered with approximately 1'
of compacted Structural Fill (SF).
Golder observed construction of the rock drain. Ames excavated the ffench and sump, and placed OF
and SF in accordance to the Certifying Engineers' requirements.
Golder appreciates the opportunity to provide ongoing CQA services for the Cresson Project. Please
contact the undersigned with any questions.
Sincerely,
GOLDER ASSOCIATES INC.
--~~
ohn F.
