One of the abatement steps for the referenced NOV required the
submittal of a revised design of the sediment pond to ensure
compliance with 4.05.6. Enclosed is an application for a technical
revision which will incorporate the revised sediment pond design,
Map 11-3, into the permit. The revised sediment pond design is
consistent with the existing design calculations contained in
Exhibit 11.
The redesign of the pond requires:
1. The embankment to be raised an average of 6-inches;
2. The spillway to be reconfigured; and
3. The pond to be expanded to the north in order to provide the
required water capacity.
The material excavated to expand the pond will be pit run material
that will be used to fill in the slide area.
